It is quite rare to find a couple that is so adorable you actually want to shrink them down Rick Moranis-style and keep them in your pocket. That being said, if I had Wayne Szalinski’s electro-magnetic shrink ray, I would totally carry a mini Nate and Marcy around to amuse me endlessly. You can really tell when a couple is in lurve when you are observing them all sneaky and paparazzi-like on a photoshoot. As if it wasn’t obvious in these photos, I’m pretty positive these two heart each other hardcore.
Our afternoon of photo adventures began in Phoenixville at the Colonial Theatre, which some of you fellow sci-fi geeks may recognize as being home to the 1958 Steve McQueen classic, The Blob. The theatre was a great location for a shoot (per the couple’s recommendation!) and defintely made me want to go back to revisit for one of their First Friday Fright Nights. After kicking back at the theatre we headed down the street to Steel City Coffeehouse, where there’s no shortage of delicious drinks in a relaxed, artsy atmosphere. Our next stop was Bistro on Bridge, where I learned the rules of shuffleboard and watched Marcy defeat Nate without even breaking a sweat (sorry Nate, better luck next time!). After Marcy’s victory we roamed around town a bit to soak up the unique murals Phoenixville has to offer.
I had a ton of fun during this shoot and could definitely see myself living in a town like Phoenixville. It seems very Lorelai and Rory Gilmore-esque (please don’t judge me too harshly for making Gilmore Girls references, I can’t help but embrace my inner GG geek). I hope the happy couple keeps on being their ridiculously adorable selves while making the rest of us smile.
