Despite there being a bit of drama with the power going out due to epic storms, we still managed to have fun with cheese and beer in candlelight. Also in attendance was one of the brewers from Philadelphia Brewing Company, Dean Browne, and David April, who heads the Fishtown Beer Runners. Our three cheese & beer pairings were: Ossau-Iraty with Rowhouse Red, Humboldt Fog with Walt Wit and PA Noble with Newbold IPA. All of the cheeses that were tasted are currently available at Quince, which I can’t recommend visiting enough. Thanks again to Madame Fromage and Quince for hosting such great monthly events in the area!
