The adorable Carina of Love Me Do Photography was kind enough to hire me as a second shooter for Sarah & Mikey’s gorgeous DIY wedding since her photography partner-in-crime was attending as a guest. These are a few teasers from the ceremony, which took place at Wissahickon Park in Philadelphia. Veronika & Bryan’s reception was filled to the brim with delicious DIY drinks, an amazing dinner and adorable cupcakes served alongside ridiculously cute containers of gelato. There was plenty of dancing to be had, and for those who weren’t as footloose and fancy-free, there was a DIY photobooth with animal masks to entertain guests. I can’t say I’ve ever left a wedding wearing a critter mask before, which made the evening even more memorable! It was a total pleasure shooting Veronika & Bryan’s wedding. There was an abundance of thoughtfulness and love behind every detail. I am very lucky to have met them back when I did one of my first ever engagement shoots. Cheers to many more years of dancing and happy times together!

I’m totally not over how much DIY craftiness was involved. I’m still drooling at the peachy color scheme and the attention to detail. You may recognize this couple from my prior engagement shoots with them (Part I, Part II and Part III). Veronika & Bryan’s initial engagement session was one of my first ever shoots, and remains to be one of my favorites from over the past year. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and completely natural in front of the camera, so you can imagine how ecstatic I was when they asked me to be a second shooter at their wedding.

The couple’s DIY craftiness for their wedding was ah. stound. ing. Almost everything was handmade with love—the paper goods, delicious drinks, Goccoed goodies—they even thrifted vintage furniture and props to give the venue the vibe they were looking for. Bryan constructed the entire bar and the arch they stood under during their ceremony. Veronika sewed her heart out and hand-crafted everything from doily table runners to cake stands. Even the strands of lights for the reception were hung by the groom with the help of friends and family.

The entire wedding was chock full of eye candy—the bridesmaids dresses from Anthropologie were especially jaw-dropping. The venue, Colonial Dames, was the perfect backdrop for their wedding, as it is decorated with period antiques, vintage paintings and historical artifacts.
